Ensemble of soloists formed around Françoise Kubler (soprano) and Armand Angster (clarinetist), Accroche Noteinvests in multiple ways the repertoire of the musics of today.
Each program decides on the personality and the number of musicians that make up the ensemble. The flexibility of his staff – from solo to chamber ensemble – allows him to tackle in different projects the historical pages, instrumental and vocal literature of the twentieth century, but also improvisation through jazz and improvised music. For several years, the ensemble has been developing a commissioning policy and working in close collaboration with the composers. Recent creations of Accroche Note include works by Wolfgang Rihm, Ivan Fedele, Ahmed Essyad, François-Bernard Mache, Betsy Jolas.
The ensemble is regularly invited in many national musical seasons, as well as in major international events of contemporary music, at Musica Strasbourg, Presences Radio France, Stockholm New Music Festival, Traiettorie in Parma, Tokyo in Japan, at the festival Slowind in Ljubljana (Slovenia), at Syracuse and Cornell Universities (USA)…
He has devoted numerous records to monographic portraits (Dillon, Dusapin, Manoury, Mash, Feldman, Aperghis, Fedele) and more recently Olivier Greif. To be published by Universal in October 2006: Betsy Jolas, Ventosum vocant.
