MONTEE DES OMBRES

Sound installation – performance-procession for a hundred singers and electronics
in the Tuileries Tunnel in Paris
on the course of Nuit Blanche 2016
in partnership with Ircam

On the occasion of Nuit Blanche 2016, Zad Moultaka takes us to the end of the Tuileries Tunnel for a continuous pre or post-historic procession of ten singers … Shadows of people, moving.
Invitation to a descent to our origins: allegorical cave, catabase, viste aux Enfers: a cathartic crossing. With the singers of Musicatreize and singers of Ile de France led by Roland Hayrabedian and Cécil Gallois.

VIBRANCES ATONALES A l’IMA
last night to enter the oriental garden of the IMA.
80 sound diffusion points envelop the walker bathing him in a primitive Eden, an imaginary and lush jungle in the heart of Paris.

REVE DE VERRE the NAtional Archives
conception Sophie Lambert, soud creation Zad Moultaka
Sophie Lambert sets out to draw the infinite, transcribing it into circles, volutes and lines that would have no beginning or end. She delivers for Nuit Blanche a very personal cosmic version of the Grand Verre by Marcel Duchamp, at the same time as she seems to pursue Baudelairian beauty “like a glass dream”. Crossing the enclosure of the National Archives, the look embraces one of the largest courts of Paris and focuses towards a luminous vanishing point. Echoing the mirror of water disappeared from the garden of Robert de Cotte (created for the Hôtel de Soubise in 1711), the installation invites to contemplation by arranging in a circular manner, on the floor, various pieces of glass, blown to the International Center of Glass Art. The glittering and sandblasted shapes give up their appearance of objects by revealing their unusual liquid nature. Stars, glass and water then exchange strange similarities, recreating within the Archives a dreamy constellation, illuminated by the light-designer Benoît Deseille, and rocked by the hypnotic music of Zad Moultaka.
