Inspired by the book of Yi Jing, this work is based on the 16 Hexagrams representing this publication, one of the most important books in universal history. 16 trigrams for 16 small musical pieces, each drawn randomly during a ritual carried out by the musicians themselves in order to define a musical form among 64 possibilities, giving this work an unforeseen dimension, continuously renovated, thus bringing us closer to the essence of the open and unexpected mind while referring back to the oracles guide.

Progress of the ritual
1 – the question: a vocal or instrumental solo opens the ritual
2 – the draw: a musician walks to the center of the stage and throws two 8-sided dices into a resonating metal dome

3 – the percussionist reads the drawing then moves towards a metal thunder plate and chants the number drawn, starting with the trigrams at the bottom
4 – he walks towards the bell (Bijoy Jain) and rings it
