Loubnân

LOUBNÂN

for ensemble

First concerto for piano, a little disconcerting, with a particular accord that hangs it in the sky, somewhere, leaning towards the East …

Loubnân (Lebanon for Lebanese) is a concerto for piano in two movements. When tuned in 3/4 of a tone, two notes color the entire score by affecting all others. No virtuoso effect, no dialogue, every act, every gesture is prolonged by the orchestra and finds its resonance somewhere. An incredible energy is released from this almost ascetic form where a single body appears, unified and put in vibration. The second movement is in suspension, inner reflection of the first.
