Omaggio in tre – A Bruno Maderna

OMAGGIO IN TRE

03′ – 2010
for clarinet, viola and guitar

Omaggio in tre is a three-minute, three-movement instrument for three instruments written in tribute to Bruno Maderna at the request of Filippo Perocco and the Arsenale Ensemble of Treviso.

“I borrowed from him a sentence from his work Aulodia per oboe d’amore e chitarra, which I repeated five times in a row with a different harmonization as an intimate prayer. The second movement is the murmur of the wind that infiltrates the memory of things. The last movement closes the piece with the last 4 notes that end the phrase ‘Maderna as the echo of an old melody.’
