Lahab, carpet 100 m length, sculpture 4m diameter in metal leaf

This double exhibition, Lahab and Oro Terram, the bonefire and the prayer for the earth, is an echo of the harsh ordeal that this sacred land in which our country was sculpted is going through but also to this crazy flame that today is consuming the world and burning the hearts of men.

Lahab

This work was inspired by a coincidental encounter with a mysterious symbol engraved on a ruined stele in one of the Beiteddine palace gardens. It is a shape reminiscent of a sea shell or a sun with a central point. For the ancients, the radiance of the center is the base of the invisible and the inexpressible. This “sun” with its trail of 100 meters long golden carpet, sits in the large courtyard at the palace entrance, as if to attract celestial energies and immerse our bodies in a collective luminous purification.
